The Phantom VEO-640 is the premiere 4M pixel high speed camera in the compact VEO body.  With high sensitivity with superior image quality, the VEO-640 is designed for scientists, researchers and engineers with demanding laboratory applications where high resolution is important. With advanced triggering, large internal RAM capacity and easy to use software, this camera is a flexible tool to stop motion of high-speed events in the lab.

Up to 8.5 seconds of full resolution 2560 x 1600 images can be captured at 1,400 frames per second with the internal RAM.  This is then offloaded to a computer via Gigabit Ethernet (10Gb optional) for archiving and playback. Even faster frame rates up to 290,000 fps are achievable by windowing the sensor.

Small 10µm pixels ensure high spatial resolution. The custom sensor delivers high sensitivity with ISO exposure index up to 32,000 (monochrome) or 6,400 (colour).

Easy connectivity with other instruments in an experiment are ensured with 4 programmable I/O ports (S), a trigger port and convenient HD-SDI and HDMI outputs.
