The FLIR X6900sc is the world’s fastest full-resolution thermal camera. An extraordinarily fast and highly sensitive camera designed for scientists, researchers and engineers in the most demanding applications. With advanced triggering, on-camera RAM/SSD recording and a four position motorized filter wheel, this camera offers the functionality to stop motion on high-speed events in the lab, or on the test range.

Up to 26 seconds of full resolution 640 x 512 images can be captured at 1000 frames per second with the on-camera RAM, guaranteeing zero dropped frames.  This is then offloaded to non-volatile onboard SSD or  FLIR DVIR solid state PVR for archiving and playback. Even faster frame rates up to 29,134 fps are achievable by windowing the sensor.

The four position motorized filter wheel permits filter exchange in any environment. With automatic filter recognition, the camera knows the spectral band and associated calibrations, making it easy to load a custom calibration and configuration to the camera.
