Aurora
Ultra-High-Speed Video Camera for Fast Transient Event Imaging.
The Specialised Imaging Aurora is an ultra-high-speed video camera designed for experiments where extreme capture speed, precise timing, and practical integration are critical. Built around a patented μCMOS BSI sensor, the Aurora captures up to 20 million images per second at 900 × 740 resolution with 10-bit digitisation, with exposure times down to 25 ns to freeze very fast transient events.
It is well suited to Digital Image Correlation, high-speed materials testing, crack propagation studies, fuel spray analysis, detonics, and other demanding transient-event measurements where image detail, synchronisation, and trigger control all matter. With pre- and post-trigger recording, external synchronisation, Gigabit Ethernet control, and a compact rugged design, Aurora is a strong fit for both laboratory and test environments.
