CCD
CCD cameras are the workhorses of the scientific imaging world. Renowned for highly linear response, near-ideal quantum efficiency and low noise; there is a CCD for most applications.
Imaging formats range from 512 x 512 pixels to several megapixels. Back-illuminated sensors have the highest quantum efficiency and span the widest spectral range. Deep depletion sensors have a thicker epitaxial layer of silicon to improve the quantum efficiency in the NIR.
Scientific CCDs provide flexible experimental parameters with a choice of gain, pixel binning and readout ADC speeds.
We offer deeply cooled 16-bit scientific cameras from Princeton Instruments and 14-bit temperature stabilized or cooled cameras from Thorlabs.
