Bergamo® III Series Multiphoton Microscopy Platform
Modular Multiphoton Microscope for Large-FOV and Advanced In Vivo Imaging
The Thorlabs Bergamo III Series is a modular multiphoton imaging platform designed for demanding experiments where specimen access, optical flexibility, and future reconfiguration are critical. The system can be configured with rotating or upright microscope bodies, single- or dual-scan paths, and wavelength ranges for photoactivation, two-photon, and three-photon imaging. It is especially well-suited to in vivo neuroscience and other advanced research workflows that need a large field of view, deep access to the sample, fast scanning, and flexible detection.
Key strengths
- Rotating body configurations with up to 90° of rotation and five axes of motion for challenging specimen geometry
- Upright body options with industry-leading throat depth for improved access to complex in vivo preparations
- Supports single or dual scan paths for imaging plus stimulation or other advanced multimodal workflows
- Available with 8 kHz and 12 kHz resonant-galvo-galvo and galvo-resonant scanning options
- FN40 configuration supports more than 2.8 mm x 2.8 mm field of view at the sample plane with a 10X objective
- Optional fiber-coupled two-photon laser delivery enables stable, alignment-free operation while opening up space around the sample
Detection can be configured with up to four ultrasensitive GaAsP PMTs plus two forward fluorescence channels for weak-signal and deep-tissue imaging.
